United Community Bank understands the importance of giving back to the community and in turn we want to recognize the outstanding young individuals who do the same. The Our Community Scholarship Fund is in place to recognize and award high school seniors who have given their time through nonprofit and community service organizations to help make the Burlington and the surrounding communities a better place. The selected student(s) will receive a $1,000 scholarship to the postsecondary institute of their choice, and in addition UCB will provide $500 to the student’s preferred nonprofit, church or school organization.

To Apply

Students must meet the following criteria: 1) receive a high school diploma or GED by Spring/Summer 2023, 2) be admitted to a post-secondary institution as a full-time student, 3) be registered and enrolled for the 2023 fall semester. Scholarship recipients will be selected based on information provided on this application form. Applications are due by March 31, 2023. The awarded scholarships will be mailed to the post-secondary institution as follows: $500 applied to the 2022 fall semester, $500 applied to the 2024 Spring Semester.
