The Minot Optimist Club and United Community Bank teamed up in March to spread their mission of giving back to the community and encouraged area businesses to help gather pjs, pillows, twin sheets or monetary funds in support of the Domestic Violence Crisis Center, March 5-9. At the end of the week, the UCB-Minot location followed-up with a party treating kids and their families to popcorn, story time and a VIP banking experience. Overall, the program collected 206 pairs of pjs, twin sheets and pillows, as well as an additional $480 to the Domestic Violence Crisis Center.
