UCB Announces Vangsness’ Retirement & Appoints New Minot President

United Community Bank (UCB) has announced that Minot President, Todd Vangsness is set to retire effective April 15, 2021 after 17 years with UCB and 44 years in the banking industry. Vangsness began his role with UCB as an ag lender, has served as Senior Vice President and now oversees the Minot location. He will be employed part-time with UCB through the end of the year and continue to hold a place on the United Community Bank Board of Directors.

His numerous contributions over the past two decades have helped shape UCB into the bank it is today,” says Bill Kuntz, UCB CEO & President. “We are grateful to Todd for his investment in this company and look forward to carrying on his legacy of customer service.”

The Board of Directors has promoted Kelly Perrin to the position of Minot President. Perrin, who currently operates within UCB as Chief Financial Officer, has been employed with the bank for eight years. During this time, Perrin has provided supervision and management in the areas of credit risk, the ALCO committee (asset-liability), UCB’s investment portfolio and serves on the UCB Board of Directors where he provides a fresh perspective to the management and strategic planning of United Community Bank.

An open house will be held on Thursday, April 15, 2-4 p.m. The community is invited to stop by the Minot UCB location (925 20th Ave. SW) to congratulate Todd, and visit with Kelly and the Minot staff.
