Throughout the month of May area UCB locations made surprise visits to area schools to recognize and award -selected exceptional high school seniors with a $1000 scholarship.

The Our Community Scholarship Program has been put in place to showcase exemplary high school seniors who have given their time through non-profit and community service organizations to help make our communities a better place.

Scholarships were awarded from each UCB location: Minot, Burlington, Drake and Leeds. The Minot and Burlington scholarships included an additional $500 donation to each awarded student allowing them to donate it to a local non-profit organization on their behalf.

The scholarship recipients and selected non-profits were:

Minot: Brooke Peterson, Minot High – Y’s Men’s Wild West Rodeo

Minot: Parker Larson, Minot High – Prairie Grit Adaptive Sports

Minot: Becca Boen, Minot High – Trinity Cancer Care Center

Burlington: Benjamin Van Berkom, DLB – DLB FFA

Burlington: Ashten Frasier, DLB – Dakota Boys & Girls Ranch

Drake: Jill Rotherham, Drake

Leeds: Reganne Ritterman, Leeds
