UCB Offers Community Driven Scholarship Program

United Community has launched their Third Annual Our Community Scholarship Program which focuses on students who believe in giving back to their school and community.

The Our Community Scholarship Fund has been put in place to recognize and award area high school seniors who have given their time through non-profit and community service organizations to help make our communities a better place. All UCB locations (Minot, Burlington, Drake, Leeds) will be awarding students in their area. In total, seven $1,000 scholarships will be given. Applications for each can be found at www.ucbnd.bank. In addition to the scholarship, each awarded student in the Minot and Burlington areas has the opportunity to choose a local non-profit organization to receive a $500 donation on the student’s behalf.

“The students applying for this scholarship are truly passionate about their school and community. They can choose an organization within their school, church or town in which they live,” says Jennifer Hubrig, UCB VP – Marketing/HR. “We feel so fortunate to have the opportunity to help provide area youth with the opportunity to give back to organizations they believe in.”

Last year, winning students chose to give to the following organizations: Y’s Men’s Wild West Rodeo, Prairie Grit Adaptive Sports, Trinity Cancer Care Center, DLB FFA, Dakota Boys & Girls Ranch.
